When thinking of Stanford, I think of Coach Weir. I am a huge fan of another Pac 10 school, but when I had an athlete with a high GPA & test scores I thaught of Coach Weir. There arent too many coaches with the knowledge and background of Coach Weir. More importat than that knowledge is how he cares for his athletes on and off the field.
He has always been willing to reach out to the community of track and field and offer his support and insights.
Having coached at Mt. SAC for several years working the relays his a lot of work but there are highlights as well & one of mine was always looking forward to the Big Guy bringing his athletes down for the meet.
